a field guide to the city's underground. art first, music close behind.
stop 01 · who we are
a collective of explorers
writers, photographers, and night walkers who kept ending up at the same openings and decided to compare notes. we are not critics and we are not a listings robot. we go to the shows, talk to the artists, stay for the second band, and write down what actually happened.
we cover the city at street level: the gallery above the noodle shop, the print studio down the soi, the gig that was announced three days out on a story that already expired. if it made us feel something, it goes in the dispatch.
stop 02 · what we do
hidden gems, found
bangkok is the best city in the world if you know where to stand. we are dedicated to bringing you the openings, gigs, pop-ups, and rooms that make it true, the ones that never make the tourist guides because they were never meant to. every listing is somewhere we have been or somewhere we trust.
art shows
70% of everything we do
gallery openings, studio visits, artist-run spaces, zine fairs, and degree shows worth crossing the river for.
music
a night to know about
live sets, listening bars, warehouse gigs, and one-off lineups. every music post is a night to know about.
gatherings
rooms full of the right strangers
pop-ups, night markets, supper clubs, film screenings, and the parties that start as rumours.
learning
make something with your hands
workshops, artist talks, riso and print classes, and skill swaps run by people who actually practice.
stop 03 · the dispatch
read us on substack
one dispatch at a time: histories, artist features, and the events worth leaving the house for. free to read, straight to your inbox, written like a friend who went first.
subscribe below. no spam, only the city.
stop 04 · collaborate
put your event on the map
we work with artists, curators, venues, collectives, and organisers. if you are making something worth seeing in bangkok or anywhere in thailand, here is how to reach us.
send it early
email or dm us at least two weeks before your event with the date, venue, time, and a few lines on what it is and why it matters.
send it visual
two or three high-resolution images we can use: the work, the space, the artist. no flyers with fifteen sponsor logos, the art should breathe.
expect a visit
we write about what we see, not what a press release says. if we can, we come in person before or during the run. features stay in our voice and our editorial call is final.
bigger ideas welcome
guest dispatches, photo essays, co-hosted nights, print collaborations. pitch us anything, the stranger the better.
